Purple Zebra® Community Code of Conduct

At Purple Zebra®, we want our community to be a place where people feel welcome, respected, and encouraged to contribute. As we grow, it’s important to maintain a culture rooted in openness, kindness, and professionalism. This code of conduct is here to guide how we work and interact with one another.

Our Principles

  • Be kind and patient. Take the time to listen, explain, and support.
  • Be inclusive. Everyone should feel they belong here, no matter their background or identity.
  • Be thoughtful. Recognize that your choices and words can affect others.
  • Be respectful. Disagree without hostility, and never let frustration turn into personal attacks.
  • Communicate with care. Use language that uplifts, not harms.
  • Disagreements happen. Aim to understand other perspectives and resolve issues constructively.

This list isn’t a rulebook of every possible situation—think of it more as a shared commitment to building a positive, collaborative community.

Where This Applies

These standards apply anywhere Purple Zebra® creates spaces for collaboration and connection—including online platforms (such as chat, forums, or mailing lists), project tools, and company‑organized events whether virtual or in person. The guidelines also cover how we present ourselves in these settings—through conversation, writing, visuals, or other shared content.
In rare cases, behavior outside Purple Zebra® spaces that clearly violates these principles may also affect your participation.

Respectful Behavior

In plain terms: treat people well. The following kinds of behavior are not acceptable:

  • Threatening, aggressive, or violent language
  • Discriminatory or offensive jokes and remarks
  • Sexual or violent content in shared spaces
  • Sharing another person’s private information without consent
  • Personal insults, especially related to race, gender, or other identities
  • Unwanted sexual attention or harassment
  • Promoting or encouraging harmful behavior

If someone asks you to stop, respect their request immediately. Ignoring this is considered harassment.

Handling Disagreements

Different backgrounds and viewpoints are part of what makes our community strong. It’s natural for debates to happen, but they should never turn into hostility. Instead of focusing on blame, aim to understand, learn, and work toward solutions together.

Reporting Issues

If you experience or witness behavior that goes against this Code of Conduct, please let us know by contacting us. Reports will be taken seriously and handled with care and confidentiality.
